Jingjie Yang began learning the piano at an early age and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Piano Performance at the University of Florida. She completed her Bachelor of Music in Keyboard at Western Michigan University in May 2023, studying with prominent teachers including Hsiang Tu, Lori Sims, and Yu-lien The.
Jingjie has performed a wide repertoire, including works by Grieg, Beethoven, Brahms, and Dvorak. Her chamber music experience includes performances at prestigious venues like the Dalton Center at Western Michigan University and Dana Auditorium at Guilford College. Some of her notable collaborations include Grieg's Sonata Op. 3 No. 1, Darius Milhaud’s Scaramouch for Two Pianos, and Brahms’ Sonata for Viola and Piano No.1.
As a soloist, Jingjie has performed in esteemed venues such as the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia and the University of Florida Music Building. Her recital highlights include performances of Beethoven Sonata Op. 101, Bach's Toccata in D minor, and Liebermann's Gargoyles Op. 29.
Jingjie has participated in several masterclasses, including the Philadelphia Young Pianist Academy Piano Festival and the Eastern Music Festival, where she worked with renowned artists such as Michael Lewin, Alon Goldstein, and Dang Thai Son. She has been recognized in competitions, winning awards like the Third Prize at the Hong Kong International Piano Competition and an Honorable Award in the Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody Class.
In addition to her performance career, Jingjie serves as a Piano Teaching Assistant at the University of Florida, providing tailored instruction to vocal performance majors and assisting with opera workshops.
