Zhengyang Zhang began learning the piano at the age of 4. He is a graduate of the China Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Wei Zhang from 2015-2021. Currently studying at Manhattan School of Music, Master of Music degree, with professor Dr.Solomon Mikowsky in New York City，and get a full scholarship.

He is a laureate of several competitions, including the fourth place of 15th Khatchaturian international piano competition；2019， the outstanding Winner, German Mengelsohn International Piano Competition Asia Pacific Finals；2018，the First Prize, the 4th Lanzhou International Piano Competition；2018， the bronze award，Piano Competition for National University Students by Yangtze River，etc.

In 2018 and 2019, as a soloist, he cooperated with Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra and Armenian National Symphony Orchestra.He also received guidance from many pianists, such as Matti Raekallio，Craig Sheppard，Boris Berman，Yoheved Kaplinsky，Gordon Fergus-Thompson，Antonio Pompa-Baldi and Sa Chen，etc.
