Heesu Yu, professionally known as HEESU, a dynamic South Korean artist, performer, singer-songwriter, producer, and creative director based in NYC, is known for her ethereal blend of traditional Korean sounds with Electropop, House, and Alternative R&B. A Berklee College of Music alumna, HEESU’s career has been marked by significant achievements and collaborations.

In 2021, HEESU won WBUR's Local NPR Tiny Desk Favorite for her original song "ME" and later contributed as a panelist for the WBUR Local NPR Tiny Desk in 2023. Her innovative sound and artistic vision have earned her invitations to perform at prestigious venues such as the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in Boston, the CHEONGSAN music video exhibition at Millennium Film workshops (known for MoMA's acquisition of their archive), and ONSTAGE Korea by NAVER. Her rising star was further cemented in 2022 when she was named the UK Reprezent Radio Number 1 artist on Pirate. Additionally, her single "Tied To Your Love" gained international acclaim on Austrian national radio station FM4 in 2020.

In 2021, HEESU was also part of the choir for The Eagles’ Hotel California Tour at TD Garden, showcasing her versatility and further establishing her presence in the music industry. Her talent has led to collaborations with notable artists and engineers, including Grammy-winning engineer Heidi Wang, known for his work with Justin Bieber, and Ryoji Hata, renowned for his work with Masa Takumi. Her captivating performances have left a lasting impression at renowned festivals and venues, including the Rochester Jazz Festival, Boston NPR City Space, The Hall At Live! in Baltimore, and NYC’s The Mercury Lounge, The Sultan Room, and Rockwood Music Hall, among others. With her unique sound and artistic flair, HEESU continues to mesmerize audiences and push the boundaries of contemporary music.
